At its December meeting, the Foundation's board approved a grant that contributes to the Hospital's general support costs in a manner that allows Hospital management and the doctors to make the best possible decisions with respect to the care sought and needed by the local population.

The Board prides itself in being at the leading edge of what many development organizations have been striving to do in recent years under the description of "localization". The Foundation has always operated like that.
