In 2024, the Teasdale-Corti Foundation undertook a review of its practices to maximize the funds transferred to St. Mary's Lacor Hospital, Uganda. Part of this effort is to optimize support resources, so that more of your donations contribute directly to the hospital's mission.
The most visible changes are reflected first in our new website, which now allows you to donate directly, without being redirected to a third party's platform. They continue with this new e-bulletin that replaces the old printed bulletin distributed by mail.
Why this latest change? First, because it allows us to produce our communications more efficiently. The website and the bulletin are now integrated: the same article can be published on both platforms without duplication. In addition, we collaborate with our colleagues at the Corti Foundation, in Milan, for the preparation of several contents of common interest.
This evolution also simplifies the dissemination of our news. It eliminates the cost and time of printing and mailing hundreds of bulletins, while giving us greater flexibility to communicate with you, at a significantly reduced cost.
In future issues, we will share stories and testimonials that illustrate the tangible impact of your generosity in the Gulu region. You will also find Dominique's letters, her travel diaries, portraits of donors, volunteers, Canadian interns and members of the Foundation's Board of Directors.
We hope that these articles will inspire you and give you a better understanding of the context in which our work takes place, as well as the immense legacy left by Dr. Lucille Teasdale and Dr. Piero Corti.
