The Foundation is seeking new board members

The Fondation is looking for four new board directors, including someone who can serve as Corporate Secretary.

A keen interest in health, humanitarian and international development issues
The ability to influence and mobilise others, enabling them to convince influential people to get involved with the Foundation
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
A clear commitment to the mission and core values of the Teasdale-Corti Foundation
A willingness to leverage their network of contacts for the benefit of the Foundation
An ability to mobilise and motivate potential donors
An openness to participate, as needed, in soliciting significant and major donations, in collaboration with other members of the Board of Directors

Administration or law
Governance and strategic leadership
Health (medicine, public health, hospital administration, pharmacy) or science and innovation
Communication and public relations
Partnership development

8 to 10 board meetings per year, lasting 1 to 2 hours, in videoconference, normally on Friday mornings
Active participation in all board meetings, which includes advance preparation by reading the documentation sent in advance, minutes and any other relevant information
Additional availability required for one in-person meeting per year, when the Vice-Chair of the Board, who is based outside the country, travels to Montreal
There is nothing about managing the hospital (a different corporation), as competent individuals are in charge of that. The role of the directors is to raise funds and ensure their sound management.

Start date: in 2026 (as soon as possible)
Term of office: 2 years (until December 2027), renewable
Remuneration : volunteer position

French language is a must. Even though the Hospital is located in an English-speaking country, board business is transacted mostly in French.
